SLOW BLINK
JEL on the music: I imagined an isolated town dying on its feet with a single woman living there, no chance of meeting someone locally; going to the city on a mission to find someone and having no luck; always waking up in a retched lonely place. Think Alaska. Think tumbleweed.
JULIE on the lyrics: This one was inspired by a film script, not one in particular. Regardless of the storyline, there seemed a lot to say through a camera lens: the panning, the fading down, the odd comment thrown in by the director, the strange and incidental angles the camera picks up in an art house film. Yep, weird. I know.
It all started with a riff, actually.

LYRICS
Rolling eyes to the west
Slow blink (beautiful darling)
Blank stare and nod and away
Que the nightfall, bravado *splays*
Spills into the morning
Waiting for your soul to find you
No Miss Underestimated
Tears tips off Friday night nails
Molitof *swirl*
Where is your Gabriel?
Changing mind, altered view
(Repress) drowning baby
Centre stage, solo scene
(and fade)
Que the end game
Mascara fail
Seeps into the sidewalk *hail*
Waiting for your soul to find you
No Miss Underestimated
Tears tips off Friday night nails
Molitof *swirl*
Where is your Gabriel tonight?
Everything is beautiful tonight my darling Gabriel
Everything is beautiful tonight my darling Gabriel
Everything is beautiful tonight my darling Gabriel
Everything is beautiful tonight my darling Gabriel
Taxi to the city
No one shares your ride
The lights and sounds have faded to
An emptiness inside
(He) didn't keep your number
You know he'll never phone
Tomorrow you'll be facing another day alone
Everything is beautiful tonight my darling Gabriel
Everything is beautiful tonight my darling Gabriel
