OLDER's lyrics take as many twists and turns as the music that supports them. There are no throw-away lines; each word and phrase is carefully chosen to mean something and to convey emotion.

Their debut album 'Silence' explored a number of subjects from naturism to neurodiversity and even failing local politics. The underling theme was one of personal freedom and which they developed further in their second album, 'HUMAN+'

Released in 2021, 'HUMAN+' explored the structures of modern relationships, many of which vary from the standard narrative of what society expects. The songs questioned New Zealand's prevalent conservative attitudes, those who hold them, and celebrated those who seek personal freedom.

Their 3rd album 'Unmasked' (2024) - a more rock focused production - reflected on how they observe the world through the lens of adult ADHD. It also kept themes of personal freedom at its core, along with a self-awareness to be genuine and not shaped by other people.

2025 marked the release of their 4th album 'Selfie' which is a collection of songs written over 30 years that didn't quite fit on the first 3 albums, (along with a few recently penned ones) but were still more than good enough to see the light of day.

The production and writing is the result of a blend of their previous album's styles which has come to define their unique sound.
